We have read many books throughout the year. My favorite was Maniac Magee. I liked it because the characters had a lot of personality, and the story took a serious topic, and made it into a children's book. The book had adventure which definitely grabbed me. I really like this book. My least favorite was Julie of the Wolves. This book didn't grab me very much, and the other books were more exciting. This book was very serious, and serious books are not my style with reading.

In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson & The Rainbow People
We were learning about China, so we read the book In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson, and we read The Rainbow People too. My language arts group and I made a few scales, about the character Shirley's two houses from In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson. We followed the statement of "How does history impact who we are?" and who we are is our identity, so we wrote and identity essay on Shirley, and I think that it was the best essay that I ever wrote. I thought that my blog posts for In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson were detailed, but they could've been better. I think that my in class quizzes were fairly decent, but there were a few questions that I should've worked harder on. Now onto The Rainbow People. When I was leading on the blog I felt like I had plenty of things to say. I felt like I put a lot into the intros that I wrote. I think that my new intro was one of my best.

I enjoyed working on my this I believe essays. I think my that my most successful piece of work was my personal this I believe essay because I told personal stories, and it wasn't too long. Though if mentioned more of why do it it would have been even better. My least successful assignment was my belief glog because it was hard to find things that I could use in it. If I put pictures of myself in it, it probably would have been better. I see progress in my work, through my essay.

Here are my thoughts on my work for Maniac Magee. I once again think that my essay was my best work. I think that I looked around for all the information that I needed, and I looked for details. Though to make my essay seem better I could've reread the book over again. My least successful work I think was my web since i didn't read the directions that carefully. If I could reproduce that web all over again I would read the directions very very very carefully. When I read my next book I will pay attention extra extra hard. To improve myself in the next unit I will ask for help if I don't understand the book. I seem to get better and better with my work.
Julie of the Wolves
Here are my thoughts on my work for Julie of the Wolves.I think my essay was my best work. I think it was my best work since I used details when I needed them, and I thought that I really dug deep. Though I thought it was good if I really payed attention to the book my essay probably would have been better. I think my Venn diagram was probably my least successful assignment. I think that it was my most least successful assignment since I didn't have enough details, and I didn't work fast enough.If I could go back and do it again I would probably ask for more time and dig deep on details. On my next book I will focus on my work and make sure it's my best work. I will also make sure that everyone in my group have a chance to share things during the group discussions.
